SUMMARY:

Rehabilitation of the cupola and roof replacement at the 1880 iconic building designed by Frank E. Edbrooke in downtown Denver located across Tremont from the Brown Palace. Project scope included removal of the existing roof system and skylights, repairs to the wood decking and framing for the integral gutter, and new standing seam metal roofing at the primary roof and cupola. The wood eaves throughout were in various levels of deterioration. New wood pediment, soffits, and frieze were created to replicate existing patterns and layout. Scope included removal and salvaging of the ornate metal cresting and new elements were created to match the existing pattern and detailing. Work was also completed in repairing the masonry and waterproofing.
