SUMMARY:
Historic rehabilitation of the masonry building located on the corner in the Five Points Cultural District that over the years has been a hub to the community with uses including a hotel, Soul Food, Chinese Food, a jazz club, local watering hole and the American Legion.
Scope included renovations to its original glory in 1895, with the return of the historic window locations, wood storefront, renovated wood details and exposed brick. An additional surprise happened during the renovation with the discovery of an old Mural for Yuye Café and Coca-Cola from the 1940’s that is now a prominent feature within the district.
