SUMMARY:
Renovation of a condo in the Ice House Lofts downtown Denver adjacent to Union Station. The owners had a dream of converting the walk-in closet into a speakeasy bar and turning the loft into a weekend gateway and entertainment space for friends and family. Spectrum team members worked hand in hand with the owner on the kitchen design and millwork, the speakeasy entrance and built in millwork, bathroom vanity and shower partition, the bedroom built in wardrobe and custom bedroom barn door.
Spectrum’s in house carpenter, millwork fabrication and steel teams worked together to execute the owners dream in transforming this industrial loft. The barn door was fabricated from old douglas fur joists salvaged from another project with custom steel strapping from the steel shop. The kitchen cabinets and design includes custom cabinets with hidden drawers to maximize storage while minimizing the panel layout for drawer fronts to allow the zebra wood to be showcased. The speakeasy entrance was a group effort in working with the small space available and creating a unique, unexpected element within the loft.
